Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, announced on his social media account a series of recent legislative actions and local initiatives affecting Iowa communities.
On September 18, 2025, Feenstra wrote, "Earlier today, I voted for three bills to unleash American energy production and streamline energy permitting. Our homes, farms, businesses, and communities deserve reliable, affordable power. Through sensible policies, we can lower energy costs and enhance our energy security."
In another post dated September 19, 2025, Feenstra expressed appreciation for support of ethanol production: "Thank you to @SecRollins for standing with our corn farmers and strongly supporting ethanol and #E15! Homegrown Iowa ethanol can lower prices at the pump and strengthen our energy security. New markets for Iowa corn and ethanol are crucial for our farmers and rural communities."
Later that same day, Feenstra shared news about federal disaster recovery funding: "After meeting with city officials from Rock Valley and FEMA, I’m glad to announce we secured $1.8 million for Rock Valley Community School District for ongoing flood recovery. This funding will help get students back in the classroom and ensure a safe environment."
Feenstra has represented Iowa’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021. Prior to his tenure in the House of Representatives, he served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra continues to reside there today. He earned his BA from Dordt University in 1991.
