Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, shared a series of posts on September 29, 2025, highlighting recent Republican legislative actions and criticizing Democratic spending proposals.

In a post at 14:54 UTC, Feenstra stated, "As part of the package of tax cuts that Republicans passed and President Trump signed for working families, we included $50 billion for rural hospitals and healthcare. This infusion will improve patient care and keep our rural healthcare facilities open."

Later that day, at 18:18 UTC, he addressed ongoing budget negotiations, writing, "Republicans voted to prevent a shutdown that would otherwise hurt our seniors, small businesses, and veterans. Democrats want to add more than $1 TRILLION in government spending and will shut down the government if this demand is not met. This is unreasonable and unserious."

Feenstra concluded his series of posts at 20:35 UTC by stating, "Republicans PREVENTED the largest tax increase ever and instead DELIVERED the largest tax cut for families, farmers, workers, and small businesses in U.S. history."

Feenstra has served in Congress since defeating Steve King in 2021 and previously represented his community in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra continues to reside there and holds a BA from Dordt University.
