Rep. Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, used his social media platform to criticize Democratic policies and highlight Republican legislative efforts in a series of posts made in early October 2025.

On October 4, Feenstra addressed the recent government shutdown, attributing it to Democrats: "Democrats recklessly shut the government down. Why? Because they want to give free healthcare to illegal immigrants & spend $1.5 trillion in taxpayer dollars. Republicans voted to keep the government open. Why? Because we want to cut wasteful spending and support Americans!"

Two days later, on October 6, Feenstra praised tax legislation from former President Trump’s administration: "President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts delivered the largest investment in domestic manufacturing in history. This law strengthens our supply chains, creates good-paying jobs in our communities, and invests in American manufacturing dominance."

Later that same day, Feenstra criticized Democratic proposals regarding rural healthcare funding: "Democrats want to completely defund the $50 billion that Republicans approved for rural hospitals. Of course they do. Liberals only represent the radical policies of California and New York and turn their backs on America's heartland every chance they get."

Feenstra has represented Iowa's 4th District since succeeding Steve King in 2021 and previously served as an Iowa state senator from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, he continues to reside there today and graduated from Dordt University with a BA in 1991.
