Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, addressed several issues in a series of posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account in early October 2025, including healthcare for undocumented immigrants, the impact of a government shutdown on Iowa farmers, and the anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel.

On October 6, 2025, Feenstra shared the results of a poll from his weekly newsletter, stating, "For the poll question in my weekly newsletter, almost 90% of respondents agreed with me that illegal immigrants should not receive free healthcare. But that's exactly what Democrats want to do. Iowa taxpayers shouldn't be on the hook to pay for these benefits for noncitizens."

Later that day, Feenstra commented on the ongoing government shutdown, writing, "This Democrat shutdown has real consequences for Iowa farmers during harvest. Because liberals won’t budge on giving illegal immigrants free healthcare and spending $1.5 trillion, FSA offices are closed. Democrats are turning their backs on the heartland and rural Iowa."

On October 7, 2025, Feenstra marked the anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel with a post stating, "On October 7, 2023, vicious Hamas terrorists murdered nearly 1,200 innocent Israelis & took hundreds hostage. On this somber anniversary, we mourn the fallen & demand the release of all remaining hostages. Read my op-ed w/ my friend @SenSchneider below."

Feenstra has represented Iowa’s 4th District in Congress since 2021, succeeding Steve King. Prior to his congressional service, he was a member of the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra is a graduate of Dordt University and continues to reside in Hull.
