U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) issued a statement on the two-year anniversary of the October 7th attacks on Israel by Hamas. The attacks resulted in the deaths of nearly 1,200 Israelis, destruction of communities, and hundreds taken hostage.

Feenstra said, “Two years ago, Hamas viciously invaded Israel, killed nearly 1,200 innocent Israelis, burned entire communities to the ground, and took hundreds hostage. Hamas is a terrorist organization that has no regard for human life. I’m grateful to President Trump for working nonstop to secure the release of all the remaining hostages and strengthen our already strong alliance with Israel. On this somber anniversary, we mourn those who were senselessly murdered, recommit ourselves to combating antisemitism, and stand with Israel in the face of pure evil.”

Feenstra represents Iowa’s 4th district in Congress after succeeding Steve King in 2021. He previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 until his election to Congress. Feenstra was born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and continues to reside there. He graduated from Dordt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991.
