Rep. Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on social media addressing issues ranging from government funding to U.S. foreign policy. Feenstra, who succeeded Steve King and previously served in the Iowa Senate, shared his views in three separate posts on October 8 and 9, 2025.
On October 8, Feenstra criticized the Democratic Party’s approach to government funding and border security. He wrote, "Democrats don't care if our troops and border patrol agents aren't paid. Democrats don't care if our farmers can't access vital services during harvest. Democrats don't care they shut down the government. What DO they care about? Giving free healthcare to illegal immigrants."
Later that evening, Feenstra expressed support for former President Donald Trump’s efforts in international diplomacy, specifically referencing the Middle East. He stated, "Thank you to President Trump for delivering PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH! He has worked around the clock to secure the release of every remaining hostage and bring stability and security to the Middle East. President Trump continues to make our world a stronger and safer place."
The following day, Feenstra reiterated his endorsement of Trump’s leadership, writing, "Like he promised on the campaign trail, President Trump is delivering PEACE through STRENGTH. He is an incredible leader for our country and the free world."
Feenstra, 54, was born in Hull, Iowa, where he currently resides. He graduated from Dordt University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Feenstra’s background includes over a decade in the Iowa Senate before joining Congress, where he continues to be an active voice on issues related to agriculture, border security, and foreign policy.
