After a judge made a decision in a lawsuit on the legality of pre-filled absentee ballot request forms, Woodbury County Board of Supervisors decided not to appeal the judge's decision.

"I've decided at this point just to move on, that's what the voters want. The voters are very motivated," Woodbury County Auditor Pat Gill told KTIV

Instead, he wants to focus on making sure everyone is able to vote during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people are likely to vote with an absentee ballot because of the coronavirus, which is why he sent out "pre-populated absentee ballot request forms," KTIV reported.

Now, Gill will be voiding the absentee ballot requests in the system and sending blank forms out.

"We will be notifying every voter who returned a request form that has been ruled invalid. We are going to make sure every voter gets the opportunity to give those back, but that is going to take a while in order for that to happen," Gill told KTIV.
