Today, U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) called on Iowa residents affected by the summer floods to apply for disaster relief before the approaching deadline of October 22nd. The floods occurred between June 16th and July 23rd.

Feenstra emphasized the importance of meeting the deadline: “Tuesday October 22nd is the last day that Iowans impacted by this summer’s devastating floods can apply for disaster assistance through the federal government. Resources are available to help families and homeowners rebuild their homes and replace damaged and destroyed personal property.”

He urged those in need of support to visit DisasterAssistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362 before the deadline. Additional information about recovery assistance can be found on his website at Feenstra.House.Gov under the Natural Disaster Resource Center.
