U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra has cast his vote in favor of a joint resolution aimed at nullifying a regulation from the Biden administration concerning American energy production. The U.S. House of Representatives passed this resolution.
Rep. Feenstra expressed his views on the matter, stating, "For four years, the Biden administration did everything possible to restrict domestic energy production and eliminate American energy jobs with endless red tape and burdensome regulations." He specifically criticized a rule published last September, which he described as requiring "energy producers to comply with excessive paperwork and other reporting measures," adding that it would complicate oil and gas production unnecessarily.
Feenstra emphasized his support for overturning this regulation, saying, "I voted for a congressional resolution overturning this Biden-era regulation on our energy producers because we need to unleash our domestic energy resources to make our country energy dominant." He further remarked on the broader context of Republican efforts in Washington: "The disastrous and costly energy policies of the Biden administration will not be tolerated with unified Republican control in Washington."
