House passes act for veteran healthcare improvements

U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra, a Republican from Hull, has cast his vote in favor of the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act. The U.S. House of Representatives has successfully passed this legislation.

Rep. Feenstra emphasized the importance of supporting veterans who have served the country: "Our veterans selflessly answered the call to serve our country and defend the freedoms that we hold dear. It is our responsibility to ensure that our nation’s heroes receive the high-quality healthcare, services, and benefits that they deserve and have earned."

He highlighted several goals of the act, including improving care for veterans, reducing homelessness among them, enhancing support for those in rural areas, and ensuring accountability within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). "I voted for the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act to deliver the top-notch care that our veterans need," he stated.

Feenstra also reaffirmed his commitment to veteran welfare: "As a grateful American, I will always work to ensure that our veterans are taken care of, respected, and honored."
