Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on his official X account from October 11 to October 13, 2025, addressing recent political events and local recognitions.
On October 11, Feenstra expressed gratitude toward former President Trump regarding military funding during the government shutdown. He wrote, "Thank you to President Trump for making sure that our troops are paid during this Democrat shutdown. The bill Republicans passed in September paid our troops but Democrats wouldn’t support it. President Trump and Republicans will always stand with our men and women in uniform."
The following day, October 12, Feenstra marked National Farmers Day by highlighting the role of Iowa’s agricultural community. In his post he stated, "Today is National Farmers Day. Iowa farmers and producers are the breadbasket to the world!"
On October 13, Feenstra commented on international developments involving hostages held by Hamas. He posted, "Today is a historic day. President Trump secured the release of all remaining living hostages held by Hamas. Families will be reunited after two years of agony, heartbreak, and pain. Because of President Trump, peace and security has been restored in the Middle East."
Randy Feenstra has served as a member of Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021 and previously represented his constituency in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra continues to reside there today and is an alumnus of Dordt University.
