City of Sioux City issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
Are you looking for a place to play soccer, softball, or baseball during the winter break? Contact the Parks and Recreation Department to reserve a field, Monday through Sunday, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Holiday Hours:
December 24, 2020 & December 31, 2020: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Christmas Day & New Year’s Day: CLOSED
If you are interested in making a reservation, check availability, or need additional information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department by calling 712-279-6126, Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or check out the Siouxland Expo Center website at www.siouxlandexpocenter.com and click the “Facility” drop-down tab to view rental options.
As the days get colder walking outdoors can become less enjoyable. The public is also invited to come inside and walk areas of the Expo Center. Memberships for $50.00 are now available for unlimited access from December through March or pay just $2.00 for one-time use. Designated walking hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., pending turf availability. Please call the Administration Office at 712-279-6126 to confirm availability.
MASK ARE REQUIRED! If you are visiting the facility and are not actively playing a sport, you must wear a mask while inside the Expo Center. Please follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing. Spectators are limited to two (2) per athlete (more than two (2) spectators are allowed if from the same household).
